Following the announcement of a revised schedule for the 2023 ODI World Cup, which included adjustments to nine matches, including the high-profile India vs Pakistan match, the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed that tickets for the tournament will be available for purchase starting from August 25. The event is set to kick off on October 5, commencing with a match between last edition’s finalists, England and New Zealand, at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
To ensure a smooth ticketing process and prevent confusion among fans, the ICC has introduced a phased approach for ticket releases concerning India matches. On August 25, tickets for all matches not involving India, including non-India warm-up matches, will be made available. This includes games for nine teams: England, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the Netherlands.
For India matches, the ticket release strategy becomes more complex, as the ICC has opted to categorize sales based on venues. Starting from August 30, tickets for India’s warm-up matches will be up for grabs. The primary round tickets, however, will be accessible from August 31. Notably, tickets for the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match, rescheduled to October 14 from October 15, will be open for booking beginning September 3.
