Team India qualified for the World Test Championship (WTC) final for the second successive time after Sri Lanka lost the first match of the 2 match Test series vs New Zealand in a thrilling finish on Monday.

India will take on Australia in the final of WTC 2023 at the Oval in London from June 7 to 11.

Here Are 3 Mistakes That Team India Made in WTC 2021 Final That They Should Not Repeat In WTC 2023 Final:

    Poor Team Selection

Team India made many errors while selecting the team for the WTC 2021 Final. Team India did not select Umesh Yadav or Mohammed Siraj despite the cloud cover. They also made Ravindra Jadeja play ahead of Hanuman Vihari who could have been handy in those situations. Team India should avoid making such errors in the upcoming WTC final by announcing a team that suits the conditions.

    Poor Batting Display

India wasn’t good enough with the bat honestly and despite starting off really well in the first innings, India lost a cluster of wickets quickly and it did not help their scoring rate as well. With Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma back in form, this problem should not exist this time.

    Poor Fielding Display

India’s leftover hopes of salvaging a draw in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2021 final slipped away when Pujara dropped the catch of Ross Taylor. Team India should avoid making mistakes in the fielding department this time as doing miss fielding will always haunt you at the end.
