    The race for the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle has intensified, with teams like India, defending champions Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and England all vying for the top two spots. Inaugural champions New Zealand have also strengthened their position with a win over India in Bengaluru, adding to the excitement as the cycle heads into its final quarter. With all these teams still in contention, fans can expect an action-packed finish leading up to the 2025 final at Lord’s.

    India currently lead the table with 68.06% points but will face a tough challenge with two home matches and five away matches in Australia. Australia, in second place with 62.50%, are confident of securing their place in the final, with all remaining matches at home.

    Sri Lanka, enjoying a three-match winning streak, hold third place with 55.56% points. New Zealand, following their historic Test win in India, have moved up to fourth with 44.44%.

    England, having lost their recent Test against Pakistan, are now in fifth with 43.06%, while South Africa dropped to seventh with 38.89%. Bangladesh sit in eighth after their 0-2 series loss to India, holding 34.38% points. Pakistan, despite ending an 11-match winless streak, remain in ninth with 25.93%, while West Indies round out the table with 18.52%.

    With the race tightening, each team will need to give their best to secure a place in the WTC 2025 final at Lord’s.
