World Test Championship (WTC) Final is scheduled to be played between India and Australia from 7th June 2023 at The Oval in London, England. Both teams have announced their respective 15 member squad for the final. However, the team combinations for the one off Test are still being hotly debated and discussed.

Team India has added Ishan Kishan to the squad of World Test Championship Final after the injury to K: Rahul in IPL 2023. The left handed batter was also in the squad for the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 but did not get a chance to represent Team India.

Now, the latest reports are suggesting that Ishan Kishan can be preferred over KS Bharat in the WTC Final. Kishan is an aggressive batter who can take the Australian bowlers head on. Also, at The Oval, the ball won’t spin much and Kishan can do the require glove work without too much of a fuss.

Bharat played in the BGT and could only register a few low scores in the series. He looks vulnerable on the off side and this weakness would surely be exposed by the Australian bowlers if he gets a chance in the playing 11 for WTC Final. Therefore, India is keen on getting Ishan Kishan in the mix of things for WTC Final.
