    With the win against Pakistan, the Bangladesh team has got a tremendous benefit in the points table of the World Test Championship. In the first match of the two-match Test series, Bangladesh won by 10 wickets against Pakistan and secured the 6th position in the points table. At the same time, England has also managed to take a big leap with a win against Sri Lanka.

    Bangladesh defeated Pakistan

    In this match played in Rawalpindi, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 10 wickets. Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Pakistan declared the innings after scoring 448 runs for six wickets in the first innings. In response, Bangladesh scored 565 runs and gained a lead of 117 runs. Bangladesh bundled out Pakistan for 146 runs in the second innings. Bangladesh achieved the target of 30 runs with 10 wickets remaining.

    Bangladesh benefited from the victory

    With this victory, the Bangladesh team reached the sixth position. Their point percentage has become 40. At the same time, Bangladesh has 24 points in its account. Earlier the team was at the eighth position. At the same time, the Pakistan team has suffered a loss due to this defeat. The team slipped from seventh position to eighth position. They have 22 points in their account and the point percentage is 30.56.

    England reached fourth place in the points table

    On the other hand, in the first match of the ongoing three-match Test series against Sri Lanka, England has made a big jump in the points table of the World Test Championship with a five-wicket win. The Ollie Pope-led team defeated Sri Lanka and took a 1-0 lead in the series.

    This is England’s seventh win in 14 Test matches in this cycle. This has taken their account to 69 points and their point percentage to 41.07. The England team has now reached the fourth position. Earlier the team was at the sixth position.

    India remains on top

    India and defending champions Australia remain in the top two with 68.5 and 62.5 points respectively. The Indian team has to play a two-Test series against Bangladesh in September. The first match will be played in Chennai from September 19. The second match will be played in Kanpur from September 27. After this, the prestigious five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played between India and Australia in November.
