Dwaine Pretorius, a 33-year-old bowling all-rounder from South Africa, has announced his retirement from international cricket. He started gaining attention in 2021 with his performances and played a few matches for South Africa before hanging up his boots.

The news of his retirement has come as a shock as no one could have anticipated that Dwaine Pretorius would suddenly retire from international cricket. He was an able cricketer in the international arena.

Dwaine Pretorius played 3 three Test matches for South Africa in which he picked 7 wickets and scored 83 runs. In 27 ODIs for the Proteas, he picked up 35 wickets and scored 192 runs. In T20Is, he picked up 35 wickets in 30 matches and scored 261 runs.

Dwaine Pretorius is retained by Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. He was sold at his base price of Rs 50 Lakhs to CSK in IPL Auction 2022.
