Former Indian all-rounders, Yuvraj Singh who was the best player for India in the T20 World Cup winning squad of 2007 has revealed his batting order for India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. He opened up about India’s squad selection and the batting order for the tournament in talk with ICC.
Yuvraj Singh said that Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Rohit Sharma should open for the Indian Team. He added that Virat Kohli’s spot is number three and he should continue batting at that number for India in the T20 World Cup 2024. Yuvraj said that Suryakumar Yadav should come in at four.
At five, Yuvraj picked the left handed wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant ahead of the in-form Sanju Samson. He said that India needs a few left-handers in the batting order. Yuvi also highlighted that Rishabh Pant has been a match winner for India in Test Cricket and it is just a matter for time before he becomes a match winner for India in T20 format.

Yuvraj Singh left out Shivam Dube from his playing XI and included Hardik Pandya at number six. He said that Pandya could be the main player for India in the World Cup. The all-round skills of Hardik Pandya are needed to win the T20 World Cup. Yuvi also praised the inclusion of Yuzvendra Chahal in the squad and said that it was unfortunate that Rinku Singh and Shubman Gill had to miss out.
