The Indian Cricket Team is probably the strongest cricket team in the world. Despite that India has failed to win an ICC trophy in the last decade. Even with legends like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian squad, something has just not clicked for the team in the big tournaments. Maybe, we need some new blood in the Indian squad to win that elusive ICC trophy. Here are five players who can debut in the next one year for India and can help take the team to the glory.
1. Riyan Parag
Assamese cricketer, Riyan Parag is a destructive middle order batter who balls handy spin. He has been an integral part of the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL for quite a few years. Parag finally showcased the glimpses of his talent in IPL 2024 by becoming one of the top contenders for the Orange Cap. He is soon expected to debut for India in T20Is.
2. Abhishek Sharma
Abhishek Sharma was a revelation in the recently concluded season of IPL. He was one of the main reasons why the Sunrisers Hyderabad reached the final of the tournament. Abhishek smashed a lot of sixes in the tournament and had one of the best strike rates. He is a left-handed opener who could provide India with an opportunity to form the left-right combo at the top. Abhishek is also a pretty good left-arm spinner.
3. Nehal Wadhera
Nehal Wadhera has been very impressive for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023 and 2024. He plays in the middle order and is able to rotate the strike frequently. Nehal can also play big shots with ease. He is surely one of those players who will get a chance in the Indian Team.
