Ramiz Raja Praises India’s Dominant Victory over Australia in Second Test

Former Pakistani Cricketer Lauds India's Performance and Highlights Australia's Struggles Against Spinners in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Renowned cricket commentator and former Pakistani player, Ramiz Raja, couldn’t help but be impressed by India’s outstanding victory over Australia in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy held in Delhi.

Ramiz Raja Praises Team India

With the home team winning the match by six wickets and wrapping things up in just three days, Raja couldn’t help but feel that it was reminiscent of Australia’s dominant performances against subcontinent teams on their own turf.

Ramiz Raja pointed out that the Australian cricket team has been struggling against spinners lately, especially after losing 16 wickets to spinners in the previous match. In the second innings of the recent game, Ravindra Jadeja claimed seven wickets, while Ravichandran Ashwin took three, resulting in the visitors being bowled out for a mere 113 runs.

“Australia are getting a taste of their own medicine,” Raja commented. “They used to finish off the Asian teams in three days in Perth or Brisbane, but the Australians are not prepared when it comes to playing good cricket in India.”

The former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board further explained that Axar Patel’s outstanding performance, which included a brilliant 115-run partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin, was the turning point of the game. Patel scored an impressive 70 runs and his partnership with Ashwin proved to be the match-winning duo. The Australians were clearly not ready for their performance against the spinners, which Raja described as “horrible.”

It seems that Raja’s comments have been resonating with cricket enthusiasts all over the world, with many applauding India’s impressive victory and commiserating with the Australians for their defeat. It’s a clear reminder that in the game of cricket, anything is possible, and the unexpected can always happen.
