AB de Villiers, the Mr 360 of cricket who was recently awarded the best batter of all time award at Star Sports IPL awards, has retired from all forms of cricket. He represented Royal Challengers Bangalore for the most part of his career in IPL and found immense success with the team but failed to lift a trophy.
AB de Villiers has a big fan following in Bangalore, and people want him to come to IPL in at least some form of capacity. The latest reports are suggesting that AB de Villiers may become the mentor of RCB in IPL 2023.

Nevertheless, the final decision regarding the same will come before two to three weeks of inauguration of IPL 2023. Royal Challengers Bangalore will be captained by Faf du Plessis in IPL 2023. They also have Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell in the batting department.
RCB will kick off its season with the match against Mumbai Indians on 2nd April 2023. A total of 74 matches are going to be played in the tournament, and the final is likely to be on 31st May 2023.
