Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal believes that Indian cricketers should not play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Akmal praised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for not allowing Indian players to participate in other leagues apart from the Indian Premier League (IPL), considered the best T20 league in the world.

During an interview on the YouTube channel ‘Nadir Ali podcast’, Akmal was asked if he believed Indian players should be allowed to play in the Pakistan Super League. And he gave some interesting answers.

In a recent interview on the ‘Nadir Ali podcast’ on YouTube, Kamran Akmal, who played for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2008, expressed his views on the matter. When asked whether Indian players should be allowed to play in the PSL, he replied, “No.”

He further added, “The Indian board is doing the right thing as their players play the Indian Premier League for two months, and then there is a lot of international cricket. The players are financially strong and don’t need more money.”

He also suggested that the Pakistan Cricket Board could take a cue from the BCCI and focus on extending the careers of their players. Akmal further remarked that India values its players, with over 14 to 15 players who have played over a hundred Test matches, while Pakistan has only two or three such players.
