One of the most awaited tournaments of cricket, IPL 2023, will kick-start on March 31 in Gujarat.
However, with less than a month left for the tournament to begin, Mumbai Indians’ camp has been hit by several setbacks. One of such setbacks was ruling out Jasprit Bumrah from IPL 2023. The star pacer has arrived in New Zealand for back surgery and is set to miss the entire season of IPL 2023.
But the main question is, who will replace Jasprit Bumrah in Mumbai Indians’ squad?

Several players were in line to replace Jasprit Bumrah in MI’s squad. However, as per a latest report, Mumbai Indians have approached Sandeep Sharma for replacing Jasprit Bumrah.
Sandeep Sharma has IPL experience of 104 matches in which he has claimed 114 wickets at an average of 26.33 and an economy rate of 7.77. But the last few years have been tough for him. He could only pick three wickets in seven matches in IPL 2021 and two scalps in five matches during the 2022 edition.
However, the 29-year-old Punjab bowler has displayed good form recently in domestic cricket, claiming 13 wickets in seven games during the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
