On Sunday, April 2, the 4th match of IPL 2023 will take place at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, where Sunrisres Hyderabad (HYD) will face off against Rajasthan Royals (RAJ).
Under the leadership of Sanju Samson, RAJ had a remarkable season last time as they reached the final, although they lost to the eventual champions Gujarat Titans. However, they have another opportunity to win the trophy, which they last won in 2008. Their top scorer of the previous season, Jos Buttler, is fully fit and available for selection, and currently, they don’t have any player availability concerns.
Meanwhile, HYD have made a change in their captaincy and appointed Aiden Markram as the new captain, who had previously led the same franchise to victory in the inaugural SA20 league. However, Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, and Marco Jansen will not be available for the match. Therefore, SRH will have to rely solely on their overseas players for this game, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead the team. Although Kumar has previously captained the team in seven matches, winning only two, this is not his first time in a captaincy role.
Both the teams have many superstars in their squad and the fans are expecting a blockbuster match between the star-stunned Sunrisers Hyderabad and power-packed Rajasthan Royals. However, few players from HYD will miss the match 4 of the tournament due to national commitments.
