LSG vs RCB, the 31st match of Tata IPL 2022, is scheduled to be played at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai from 7:30 PM IST on 19 April 2022.
Team Updates:
Lucknow Super Giants are playing like experienced campaigners. They are on a roll in the tournament with 4 wins out of 6 games. KL Rahul made an emphatic return to form with a blazing unbeaten 100 in the previous outing. Quinton de Kock, Ayush Badoni, Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya have all contributed at the right moments for Lucknow Super Giants.
Avesh Khan is leading the fast bowling attack of the Giants with exemplary performances. Ravi Bishnoi has always garnered LSG wickets at crucial junctures. The only loose end that they have is the unavailability of their premium bowler Mark Wood due to an injury. They replaced him with Andrew Tye in the squad. However, Dushmantha Chameera is getting preference over Tye, but he has been expensive with the ball.
For the first time in IPL history, Royal Challengers Bangalore is consistently winning games due to the middle and lower order performance. Dinesh Karthik has been phenomenal for them in the death overs. Karthik and Shahbaz have steered the ship for RCB in the middle and death overs in the tournament. Glenn Maxwell is also among the runs, and young Suyash Prabhudessai is quickly becoming an exciting prospect.
RCB’s worry lies in their top order consisting of Faf du Plessis, Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli. RCB’s top three have been inconsistent with the bat, which has put too much pressure on the middle over. In the bowling department, Harshal Patel is the key to success. Wanindu Hasaranga has been expensive, but he has picked up crucial wickets. They need Siraj to step up in the LSG vs RCB clash at DY Patil Stadium.
