Ajinkya Rahane, who used to stand like a wall in front of the bowlers of the opposing teams in Test cricket, is about to return to Team India after a long time. According to a PTI report, Ajinkya Rahane may return to the Indian team once again. Rahane is likely to return to the 15-member squad for the final of the World Test Championship, to be held in London from June 7 this year. After the injury of Shreyas Iyer, the possibility of Ajinkya Rahane’s return to the team has also increased.

Ajinkya Rahane, who played the first match for Chennai in the current IPL, was successful in leaving his mark. Against Mumbai Indians, the most successful team of IPL, Rahane completed his half-century in 19 balls with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes. Ajinkya Rahane scored the highest innings of 61 runs in 27 balls with the help of 7 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 225.92.

Rahane, 34, is one of the leading players of Test cricket. But he has been out of the Test team for the last 15 months. He played the last match for Team India in January 2022 against South Africa in Cape Town last year. In the first innings against South Africa, he scored 9 runs with the help of two fours, while in the second innings, facing 9 balls, he was dismissed for one run and returned to the pavilion.
