Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has praised Suryakumar Yadav for his superb performance in the 22nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Yadav’s knock of 43 runs in 25 balls helped his side, Mumbai Indians, register their second win of the tournament.
After struggling in the previous matches, Yadav promoted himself to No.3 and took some time to get going. However, once he settled in, he smashed KKR bowlers all over the park. The knock would have done wonders for his confidence and is an excellent sign for Mumbai going forward.

Chopra highlighted that Yadav needed some runs under his belt, and the knock against KKR would be good for his confidence. He also praised Tilak Varma and Tim David for their vital contributions.

Apart from Yadav, Ishan Kishan also played a brilliant knock of 58 runs. He and skipper Rohit Sharma gave a rollicking start to the team. Chopra lauded Kishan’s batting and said that he made an off day for Sunil Narine.
Mumbai Indians will be taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their next game on Tuesday, April 18th. With the confidence gained from Yadav’s knock, Mumbai will be looking to continue their winning momentum and secure another victory.
