IPL 2023 has seen a huge rise in the average powerplay scores of all the teams so far this season with Chennai Super Kings dominating the chart and Rajasthan Royals leading the way with the highest score in the first six overs.

Here’s is the average powerplay score of all the teams in IPL 2023:

    1. Sunrisers Hyderabad (42.1)

Sunrisers Hyderabad has been the least successful team in the powerplay overs in IPL 2023. Despite having some of the big names at the top, SRH’s top order flopped in most of the games in the season.

    2. Delhi Capitals (47.1)

Just like SRH, DC’s top order has also flopped in most of the games. While Prithvi Shaw has not been able to hit many boundaries in the powerplay overs, David Warner has been seen batting with a low strike-rate.

    3. Lucknow Super Giants (47.3)

LSG has not received much support from his captain – KL Rahul, who plays as an opener. Kyle Mayers, on the other hand, has given a blasting start to the team in most of the matches.

    4. Kolkata Knight Riders (49.3)

KKR’s top order has performed brilliantly in the tournament so far. The team has many talented openers, and any time anyone can be called in to give a massive start to the team.

    5. Punjab Kings (52)

Punjab Kings has been one of the most successful teams in the powerful overs. Its captain and opener Shikhar Dhawan has given a good start to the team in most of the matches.

    6. Gujarat Titans (51.6)

Gujarat Titans has got consistent support from its top order. Opener Shubham Gill has not only given the team a good start, but has won many matches for them too.

    7. Royal Challengers Bangalore (57.5)

RCB has got a solid top order with openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis in form. A few early wickets mean Glenn Maxwell will take command to score big runs in the powerplay overs.

    8. Mumbai Indians (52.3)

Mumbai Indians’ victory campaign started late in IPL 2023 and one of the major reasons behind this was the performance of its openers getting better. Mumbai has a destructive top order in the form of Rohit, Ishan, Green, SKY, etc.

    9. Rajasthan Royals (55.3)

RR has a scary top order with the likes of Buttler, Jaiswal, Samson, Padikkal, etc. The team doesn’t fear losing wickets early as they have a deep batting line-up.

    10. Chennai Super Kings (59.3)

CSK has been the most successful team in the powerplay overs. Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad don’t fail, giving a good start to the team.
