The Delhi Capitals won their first game in the IPL 2023. The victory, however, did not come easily, as the KKR spinners completely turned the game on its head. Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav, on the other hand, ensured that the home team won by the slimmest of margins.

Earlier, DC bowled KKR out for 127 runs in their allotted 20 overs. DC bowlers were accurate, and KKR batters’ poor selection aided their cause. Roy was the visitors’ leading scorer with 43 runs, but he, too, appeared fidgety. DC won the toss against the Kolkata Knight Riders and decided to bowl first at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
