After SRH’s disappointing loss to Mumbai Indians, Kartik expressed his concerns about the team’s batting order, which saw Klaasen bat at No.6 and Sundar at No.9. Kartik believes that Klaasen should have batted at No.5 and that Sundar’s batting abilities were underutilized. He said, “What are they going to achieve by holding back Heinrich Klaasen and Washington Sundar? I don’t understand this concept of making things more difficult.”

Despite SRH’s middle-order collapse, Klaasen managed to turn things around with a brutal knock of 36 runs. Kartik praised Klaasen for his heroics and Sehwag also lauded the keeper batter for his performance. However, both Kartik and Sehwag pointed fingers at SRH’s poor batting order, which contributed to the team’s loss.

Kartik also highlighted that Harry Brook and Aiden Markram were the only in-form players for SRH, and that they should have considered sending Sundar a bit earlier as he has done well with the bat for India. He added that Marco Jansen also came in too late, considering that he can also hit the ball a long way.
