PBKS faces a steep road ahead as they gear up to take on Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 22 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. While MI has been on a roll, winning three matches on the bounce, PBKS is struggling to find its footing in the IPL. After suffering a defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), PBKS’s interim skipper, Sam Curran, has come under fire from former Indian cricketer, Virender Sehwag.
Sehwag criticized Curran for his poor running between the wickets during the match against RCB. Curran was dismissed for just 10 runs in 12 balls during the run chase, which proved to be a turning point in the match. Sehwag highlighted that being an expensive player doesn’t guarantee wins, and experience is earned over time.

However, PBKS’s struggles run deeper than Curran’s inexperience. Their batters lack intent and seem unprepared for the challenge ahead. The management needs to make changes to the batting order, possibly switching the positions of Shahrukh Khan and Liam Livingstone.
On the other hand, MI has been a formidable opponent, with Rohit Sharma and Cameron Green leading the charge. Arjun Tendulkar’s controlled bowling has also garnered attention, making him one to watch out for.

PBKS needs someone like Jitesh Sharma in the middle order to take responsibility for scoring runs against spinners. While their bowling lineup is strong, relying solely on the bowlers to win matches may not be enough.
The match at the Wankhede Stadium promises to be an exciting one, with MI being the favorites. However, Jofra Archer’s possible availability for the clash could shake things up for PBKS. All eyes will be on Curran to see if he can rise to the occasion and lead his team to victory.
