In a remarkable feat, Shardul Thakur has equaled the legendary Don Bradman’s record for the most consecutive fifty-plus scores by a visiting batsman at the Oval. Thakur’s well-constructed knock of 51 runs in India’s first innings of the World Test Championship Final against Australia not only contributed to the team’s total but also helped them avoid the follow-on.

During the match, India was bowled out for 296, while Australia piled up a massive 469 runs. Ajinkya Rahane emerged as the top scorer for the Indian side, showcasing his skill with a commendable 89 runs.

On the other hand, Travis Head and Steve Smith displayed exceptional batting performances, both hitting centuries for the Pat Cummins-led Australian team.

Notably, Shardul Thakur’s recent half-century at the Oval marked his third consecutive fifty-plus score at the venue. This achievement places him in esteemed company alongside Don Bradman, who also accomplished this feat.

    2. Don Bradman – 3
