In his YouTube channel, former Pakistani wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal shared his thoughts on India’s upcoming series against the West Indies, emphasizing the importance of Indian captain Rohit Sharma emulating the on-field leadership style of Virat Kohli. Rohit is set to lead the Indian team in both the Test and one-day international series.
Akmal highlighted the need for Rohit to enhance his performance in Test matches and develop a commanding presence similar to Kohli. Drawing attention to Rohit’s recent scores of 14 and 43 in the World Test Championship Final against Australia, Akmal stressed the significance of India performing well in the upcoming Test matches against the West Indies, underlining the importance of passion and a strong start. He specifically pointed out that Rohit Sharma needs to raise his game and adopt a field presence reminiscent of Virat Kohli’s.
