    The eagerly awaited first Test match between India and West Indies is set to take place at Windsor Park Stadium in Dominica from July 12 to July 16. Team India is ready for a comprehensive tour of West Indies in July, encompassing all formats of the game. The official schedule released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) includes two Tests, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and a five-match T20 International series, commencing on July 12.

    The IND vs WI Test series will mark the beginning of India’s campaign in the World Test Championship Cycle (2023-25), which commenced with the ongoing Ashes 2023 Test series between England and Australia. In their previous tour of West Indies in 2022, India secured a 4-1 victory in the T20 series and a 3-0 win in the ODI series. The last time India played a Test in West Indies was in 2019.     The weather forecast for the 1st Test in Windsor Park predicts a maximum temperature of 32°C and a minimum temperature of 26°C. On the day of the match, there will be a wind speed of up to 35 kmph / 22 mph. There is a high likelihood of rain throughout the day, with the possibility of thunder showers. The chance of rain will start at 80% at the beginning of play and is expected to rise to 90% by lunchtime. The temperature will range from 21 to 24°C during the final hours of play.
