The clash between India and Australia in the first ODI of the three-match series took place at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Friday, September 22. Both teams are using this series as a final preparation stage to fine-tune their strategies and lineups ahead of the central tournament, which commences in India on October 5.

He played a pivotal role in India’s successful chase of the 277-run target. Suryakumar partnered with stand-in captain KL Rahul to form an impressive 80-run partnership for the fifth wicket.

Yadav’s contribution was invaluable as he scored a vital 49-ball 50. Coupled with Rahul’s unbeaten 58 off 63 deliveries, India managed to chase down the target with five wickets in hand and 8 balls to spare.
