The tournament’s opening match will feature a thrilling rematch between England and New Zealand, the finalists of the 2019 ODI World Cup. This highly anticipated clash will take place at the majestic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India.

    Led by the formidable Rohit Sharma, Team India will commence their campaign on October 8 in Chennai, facing the five-time world champion Australia.     Before the official start of the ODI World Cup 2023, all ten participating teams will have the chance to hone their skills and strategies through a series of warm-up matches. These preparatory encounters will be spread across three venues in India, spanning from September 29 to October 3.

    India is slated to play two warm-up matches, providing crucial practice sessions ahead of the tournament. In their first warm-up match, they will take on defending champions England in Guwahati. Following this, they will face the Netherlands in their second practice game in the picturesque city of Thiruvananthapuram.
