Wasim Akram stated that India is going to be one of the finalists of World Cup 2023.

Pakistan Cricket Team has played poor cricket so far in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 and has their backs against the wall. Men in Green could be thrown out of the World Cup with just another loss. At the moment, the Pakistani Team depends on the permutations and combinations which could somehow help them to get to the knockout stage of the tournament. Wasim Akram, the legendary Pakistani pacer is not too happy with his team and has voiced his opinion about the same. He has also announced the teams which he considers the finalists of World Cup 2023. Akram has left out Pakistan and this has made a big noise in the cricketing world.

Wasim Akram’s Prediction for World Cup 2023 Final

Wasim Akram, the legendary Pakistani pacer predicted that India is a definite choice for the final of World Cup 2023. He further stated that there is almost no doubt in his mind that India would reach the finals.

Akram was however a bit sceptical about the second finalist for the tournament. The former Pakistani player said that both South Africa and Australia look pretty strong as a unit and it wil be a tough competition between them to reach the finals.

Wasim Akram also said that he does not see Pakistan reaching the finals. The legendary bowler stated that Pakistan is playing an absurd brand of cricket which is not relevant in today’s era.

Can Pakistan Reach Final?

Pakistan still has a chance to make it to the finals. If Pakistan manages to win its last two league matches and somehow the league stage ends with Pakistan and one of two other teams at 10 points then Pakistan could qualify if it has the better run rate. Also, if Pakistan could get to 10 points and any three of New Zealand, Australia, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka could not reach the 10 points then also Pakistan will qualify for the semi-final of the World Cup 2023.
