Adelaide Strikers vs Perth Scorchers Match Highlights

Adelaide Strikers chose to bat first, but they got off to a slow start, losing Henry Hunt in the first over and only scoring 18 runs in the Powerplay. Chris Lynn and Matthew Short did manage to put up a 39-run partnership, but both batters failed to put themselves on track in their innings. Adam Hose, Colin de Grandhomme, and Thomas Kelly all got off to decent starts, but none of them managed to score anything substantial. In the final over, Harry Nielsen was able to help Adelaide Strikers cross the 130-run mark, so they have something to bowl at.

Perth Scorchers needed to get off to a positive start, but they pegged back right away when they lost Faf du Plessis. Adam Lyth continued his misery by joining his opening partner back in the shed soon after. Nick Hobson couldn’t make much of an impact, either. Aaron Hardie was promoted up the order, and along with Josh Inglis, put on a 31-run counterattack partnership in just 13 balls. However, both were dismissed by spin bowling. When Ashton Agar saw his stumps shattered, the hosts were reeling at 72 for 6 wickets. Jhye Richardson joined his skipper, and they put together a 43-run partnership to take their team close to the target. Ashton Turner finally arrived at the BBL party, scoring 48 crucial runs to take his team home.
