However, due to the unfortunate car accident that Rishabh Pant suffered on the morning of 30th December 2022, he is unlikely to play the IND vs AUS Test Series in 2023 which is set to begin in February 2023. Sanju Samson to Replace Rishabh Pant in IND vs AUS Test Series
Sanju Samson is one of the most dangerous wicketkeeper batters in the cricket world. He has been brilliant in 2022 and is waiting patiently for his opportunity in the longest format of the game. He is the only player in India who can take the bowlers head on like Rishabh Pant in Test cricket. Recently, Samson was omitted from the ODI squad which was announced to play against Sri Lanka. It caused a lot of drama on the social media.

However, the squad for IND vs AUS Test Series 2023 will be announced by the new BCCI Selection Committee which will be announced shortly. It is expected that the new committe will look at Sanju Samson as the like to like replacement for Rishabh Pant in Test cricket.
