Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Ramiz Raja, has criticized the appointment of Shahid Afridi as interim chief selector, saying that Afridi should not work for the PCB.
In an interview with Capital TV, Raja criticized the appointment of Afridi, saying that a person should “do a bit of research before joining any organization” and suggesting that Afridi should not work in the current environment at the PCB.
Raja’s comments come after he was sacked as PCB chairman following Pakistan’s 0-3 defeat against England. He was replaced by Najam Sethi, who appointed Afridi to the role of the chief selector. Afridi has said that he feels honored to head the selection committee and will fulfill his responsibilities.
