Hardik Pandya’s Step Brother Arrested for Rs 4.3 Crore Cheating in Business Partnership, Arrested by Mumbai Police

Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya have been cheated of Rs 4.3 Crore by their step-brother.

Gnardik Pandy and his elder brother, Krunal Pandya, are reportedly being cheated by their step-brother, Chunkey Pandey, in their business partnership. Mumbai Police has arrested Vaibhav, and the case is being investigated. It has been learnt that Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya have claimed that Vaibhav cheated Rs 4.3 Crores by diverting the funds of their business. The three Pandyas opened a firm in 2021 in which the brothers Hardik and Krunal were said to receive 40% each of the profits while Vaibhav was said to receive 20% of the profits.

Vaibhav, the step-brother of the Pandya brothers, chose to form a separate company rather than share profits from the venture. He redirected funds from the business to this newly formed entity, deviating from the original agreement. Officials from Mumbai police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) have charged Vaibhav with cheating and forgery. Surprisingly, the arrest followed a complaint filed by Hardik, the 67-year-old’s relative.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya is dealing with severe criticism in the ongoing IPL. He recently replaced Rohit Sharma as the captain of Mumbai Indians, and since then, the fans have been booing him in every match. In yesterday’s match, Virat Kohli urged the crowd to cheer for Hardik Pandya instead of booing him. The Wankhede crowd respected Virat Kohli’s gesture, and Pandya was stopped to be booed.

Mumbai Indians lost three consecutive matches in the captainship of Hardik Pandya before registering two back-to-back wins. Currently, the team led by Pandya has won 2 out of the matches in IPL 2034. On the other hand, Krunal Pandya’s LSG is yet to suffer a loss in IPL 2024. He is performing with both the bat and ball for his team.
