Sri Lanka’s Rise in the WTC Points Table

This victory has significantly boosted Sri Lanka’s position in the ICC World Test Championship points table.
Sri Lanka has now entered the top-3 in the WTC points table. Their win percentage has risen to 50%, moving them from fourth to third place. As a result of Sri Lanka’s win, New Zealand has dropped out of the top-3. New Zealand’s win percentage, which was 50%, has now fallen to 42.86%. Sri Lanka is now only behind India and Australia. However, later this year, Australia will tour India for a five-match Test series, after which the finalists will be decided. On the other hand, Pakistan and West Indies are almost out of the race for the final.
