Lockie Ferguson, the New Zealand fast bowler who played for the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022, has said, “Hardik Pandya is an exceptional leader for India. I enjoyed my time playing under him”.
Ferguson issued the statement just before the 3rd T20I against India. He has looked ordinary so far in the series against India and conceded 7 runs in the 19th over in the second T20I, which New Zealand ultimately ended up losing.

However, Lockie Ferguson was the pick of the bowlers in the IPL 2022 for Gujarat Titans. He bowled exceptionally well and helped his team lift the trophy. Hardik Pandya has been recently criticised for his captaincy by many former cricketers, and the statement by Lockie Ferguson is surely going to work for Hardik Pandya, the captain.
Hardik Pandya has led India in two consecutive T20 series and managed to win both of them. However, the ongoing series against New Zealand is really testing his skills as a leader.
