Aamer Jamal, born on July 5, 1996, is a Pakistani cricketer known for his role as a right-arm fast-medium bowler in the Pakistan national cricket team. Hailing from Mianwali and belonging to a Saraiki family, Jamal honed his cricketing skills primarily in and around Rawalpindi. He commenced his domestic career in 2013, participating in inter-region Under-19 and departmental Under-19 tournaments.

Aamer Jamal Career

After showcasing his talent for the Pakistan U19 team, Aamer Jamal ventured into club and league cricket in England. In the 2016/17 season, he represented Hawkesbury Cricket Club in the Sydney Grade Cricket competition.

Upon his return to Pakistan, Jamal faced challenges in securing opportunities to play Grade II matches. To support himself and his family financially, he resorted to working as an online taxi driver, even purchasing a car on loan from a bank.

Jamal’s cricketing journey took a positive turn when he made his first-class debut for Pakistan Television in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on September 1, 2018. Subsequently, he made his List A debut for Pakistan Television in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup on September 22, 2018.

In 2019, Jamal represented Doncaster Town in the ECB Yorkshire South Premier League, further showcasing his cricketing skills.

His contributions in domestic cricket continued as he was named in Northern’s squad for the 2020–21 Pakistan Cup in January 2021. During the summers of 2021 and 2022, he played for Whiston PCCC in the Yorkshire South Championship and Premier League, further cementing his presence in the cricketing circuit.
