An exciting, low-scoring match saw Hobart Hurricanes defeat Melbourne Renegades! 

The Hurricanes had a convincing victory today, dismissing the Renegades for 114 in the second innings after being bowled out for 122 in 18 overs in the first innings.

Nathan Ellis, the skipper of Hobart Hurricanes won the toss and decided to bat first against the Melbourne Renegades at the Blunstone Arena, Hobart.

The Hobart Hurricanes won the toss and decided to bat first, but were all out in just 18 overs. Melbourne Renegades bowled exceptionally well, limiting the Hurricanes to a score of 122. David Moody’s three-wicket haul in the middle overs was the key moment that broke the back of the Hobart batting lineup. Apart from this Russell and Hosein shared 5 wickets between them. 

The Hurricanes bowlers started strong and never let up, with Meredith’s pace causing the most damage. He ended with a three-wicket haul, along with Shadab Khan. Dooley and Paris chipped in with two wickets each. Sutherland’s onslaught in the final over of the power surge almost brought them back, but The Renegades ultimately lost the match by 8 runs.
