The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is preparing to request additional matches in Pakistan for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 before the board meeting of the Asia Cricket Council (ACC) in Dubai on Sunday. This move is expected to create further disagreement between the cricket boards of India and Pakistan, especially since the Pakistan government is still considering whether to send their team to India for the ICC World Cup 2023.
The hosting of the Asia Cup 2023 by Pakistan became a significant concern when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made it clear that India would not send its team to Pakistan under any circumstances. To resolve the issue, it was agreed upon that four matches would be held in Pakistan, while nine matches would take place in Sri Lanka, with Team India playing all its matches in Sri Lanka.
According to a source from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), they will argue during the ACC meeting that due to the rainy weather expected at the venues in Sri Lanka, which is scheduled to host nine matches of the Asia Cup, Pakistan should be allowed to host more than four matches at home.

The Asia Cricket Council (ACC) is gathering to finalize the scheduling details for the Asia Cup. The proposed hybrid model put forth by Najam Sethi, the former chairman of the dissolved cricket management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has received approval from ACC members, including India.
It has been suggested that the two matches between India and Pakistan in the tournament will be held in Dambulla.
A source reveals that Zaka Ashraf is pushing for additional matches to be played in various venues, such as Multan, instead of confining them solely to Lahore.
