Usman Khawaja, the opening left-handed batter for Australia in Test cricket, has come out with a startling statement that has shocked the entire cricketing world. He claimed that Cricket Australia is biased, and the selectors are all favouring the players they want in the team, irrespective of the merits.

Usman Khawaja recently scored an unbeaten 195* and was selected for the Border Gavaskar Trophy, which will be played in India in February 2023. In the last couple of years, he has been fantastic for Australia in the longest format of the game. However, Khawaja fails to find a position in the limited-overs squad of Australia.

Usman Khawaja said, “Australia’s selection is biased. A white coach will pick a white cricketer over a brown cricketer.” He has stunned everyone around the world by talking about racism in the selection criteria of Cricket Australia.

It is a serious matter, and the International Cricket Council can step up to start an investigation regarding this matter. Usman Khawaja has surely surprised everyone with his statement. This can even lead to his removal from the Test squad against India.
