    BCCI secretary Jay Shah praised India’s historic victory in the T20 World Cup and announced a prize of Rs 125 crore for the team. India defeated South Africa by seven runs in the final in Barbados to clinch their second T20 world title.

    Shah highlighted Rohit Sharma’s leadership, emphasizing that India became the first team to win the T20 World Cup without losing a match. He commended the team for proving their critics wrong with stellar performances, calling their journey inspirational.

    Shah also announced the prize money on social media, acknowledging the team’s talent, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
