The BCCI is undecided about the Asia Cup’s future and has yet to decide on PCb’s proposed Hybrid model. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has offered Rohit Sharma and his team the opportunity to play their matches at a neutral venue in exchange for Pakistan hosting the remaining games. Local media in Pakistan reported that the BCCI had agreed to the hybrid model, but the SGM meeting on Saturday dispelled those fears.

According to Pakistani media, the BCCI agreed to PCB’s hybrid model for the continental cricket event. As a result of this model, India’s matches were held in neutral locations such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom (UK), or Bangladesh.

According to BCCI sources, the hybrid model for Asia Cup 2023 has not been approved by the board. It also stated that the BCCI has invited officials from the Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to attend the final of the Indian Premier League 2023, which will be played on Sunday in Ahmedabad between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. The Asia Cup will be decided after the IPL final.

The venues for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, which will be held entirely in India for the first time, will also be decided after the IPL final, according to BCCI sources.
