The fifth match of the super fours in the 2023 Asia Cup will see Sri Lanka and Pakistan facing off at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium. The match is scheduled to commence at 3 PM (IST).

Sri Lanka holds an edge thanks to their players’ impressive performance, their dedication to defending the championship, and their familiarity with the home ground’s playing conditions. However, Pakistan boasts a formidable team and is well-acquainted with Sri Lankan conditions, making them a strong contender for victory as well.

Weather remains a prominent concern in the Asia Cup, with the possibility of rain causing disruptions in this match. Unfortunately, there are no reserve days available for the remaining Super Four round matches.

Regarding the pitch, it remains uncertain whether the one used for the IND vs PAK match will be in use again. If that happens, the pitch is likely to be on the slower side. Opting to bat first is advisable, as scores exceeding 250 have proven to be defendable in Sri Lanka’s conditions.
