CSK won back-to-back championships under MS Dhoni in 2010 and 2011, but fell short in 2012, 2013, and 2015. The Dad’s Army, as they were dubbed in 2018, won the IPL for the third time after serving a two-year suspension. A year later, CSK was defeated by MI in a thrilling IPL final in Hyderabad.
