The team filled with superstars won the 2011 Champions League Twenty20 after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final, the 2013 IPL by defeating Chennai Super Kings in the final, the 2013 Champions League Twenty20 by defeating Rajasthan Royals in the final, the 2015 IPL by defeating the Chennai Super Kings in the final, the 2017 IPL by defeating Rising Pune Supergiant in the final, the 2019 IPL by beating CSK in the final, and the 2020 IPL by defeating Delhi Capitals in the final.

‘Mumbai Indians’ was supposed to be ‘Mumbai Razors’

The team logo is the Sudarshan Chakra (or Razor) as initially the name of the team was supposed to be “Mumbai Razors”. However, later Sachin Tendulkar suggested to keep it Mumbai Indians. The razor logo is blended with colors of the Indian national flag i.e. saffron, white and green, along with blue which is the jersey color of Mumbai Indians.
