ECB Refuses to Send Harry Brook to CSA T20 League

Harry Brook, the English cricketer who was sold for Rs 13.25 Crore to Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023 Auction, has taken back his name from CSA T20 League due to interference by the England Cricket Board. Harry Brook was supposed to represent Johannesburg Super Kings in CSA T20 League, but the England Cricket Board has refused to give him permission to play in the CSA T20 League this year.

CSK CEO’s Official Statement on Why Harry Brook is Not Playing in CSA T20 League

The CEO of Chennai Super Kings has issued a statement in which he has listed the reason why Harry Brook has opted not to play in the CSA T20 League. He also said in his statement that Johannesburg Super Kings are now looking for a replacement. Here is the official statement:

“Harry Brook plays all 3 formats, so ECB thinks it’s too risky to permit him to play SA20. We’ll look for his replacement now for Johannesburg Super Kings”.

Was it the right decision by England Cricket Board to refuse permission for Harry Brook to play in CSA T20 League? CSK CEO has refused to speak any more on the matter, and we are hoping that his team will soon find a replacement for the English batter.
