Haris Rauf, born on November 7, 1993, is a Pakistani cricketer known for his fast bowling skills. He earned his first cap for the Pakistan national cricket team in January 2020. Rauf’s introduction to Twenty20 cricket came when he represented the Lahore Qalandars in the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy on October 5, 2018. Following his promising performances, he was drafted by the Lahore Qalandars for the 2019 Pakistan Super League. His Test cricket debut came in December 2022 against England.

Haris Rauf Domestic Career
In 2018, Haris Rauf began his domestic cricket career by joining Lahore Qalandars for the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy. This marked his debut in domestic cricket. Following this, in March 2019, Rauf was included in Baluchistan’s squad for the 2019 Pakistan Cup. He made his List A debut for Baluchistan during the 2019 Pakistan Cup on April 2, 2019. In September 2019, Rauf was selected to represent Northern in the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament, making his first-class debut for Northern on September 28, 2019.
Recognized for his talent, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) named Rauf as one of the six players to watch ahead of the 2019–20 National T20 Cup tournament in October 2019. In December 2019, Rauf’s career took an international turn when he joined the Melbourne Stars for the 2019-20 Big Bash League season in Australia.
Initially in Australia to play for the Glenorchy Magpies in Tasmanian Grade Cricket, he stepped in as a replacement for Dale Steyn, who was injured. Rauf made a significant impact for the Melbourne Stars, notably achieving a five-wicket haul in his second match against the Hobart Hurricanes and later claiming a hat-trick against the Sydney Thunder on January 8, 2020. His delivery during the hat-trick was recorded at an impressive speed of 151.3 km/h, making him the first Pakistani and first Melbourne Stars bowler to accomplish this feat in the BBL.
In a memorable performance on February 16, 2019, Rauf played a crucial role in Lahore Qalandars’ victory against Karachi Kings, taking 4 wickets for 23 runs. His consistent performances garnered attention, leading to his signing by Yorkshire County Cricket Club in December 2021 to play in the 2022 cricket season in England.
