Haris Rauf PSL Records & Stats

Haris Rauf has emerged as a significant force in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), showcasing his bowling prowess across 53 matches. With 63 wickets to his name, Rauf has been a consistent wicket-taker for his team, demonstrating his ability to make breakthroughs at crucial moments. His highest score of 19 runs suggests his capability with the bat, although his primary impact lies in his bowling contributions.

Breaking down his bowling performances, Rauf has been effective in both the first and second innings, with 31 and 22 matches respectively. He has maintained an impressive wicket per innings ratio across both innings, averaging 1.2 and 6.1 wickets per innings respectively. This highlights his ability to adapt to different match situations and deliver impactful performances consistently.

In terms of bowling efficiency, Rauf has displayed a commendable economy rate, conceding runs at an average of 5.6 runs per over in both innings. Additionally, his bowling strike rate of 18.6 balls per wicket showcases his ability to make quick breakthroughs and keep the pressure on the opposition batsmen.

Looking at his batting statistics, while Rauf has not made significant contributions with the bat, his highest score of 19 runs indicates his capability to contribute valuable runs lower down the order. However, his focus and impact primarily lie in his bowling performances, where he has established himself as a reliable wicket-taking option for his team in the PSL.

    Haris Rauf Domestic Career

In 2018, Haris Rauf began his domestic cricket career by joining Lahore Qalandars for the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy. This marked his debut in domestic cricket. Following this, in March 2019, Rauf was included in Baluchistan’s squad for the 2019 Pakistan Cup. He made his List A debut for Baluchistan during the 2019 Pakistan Cup on April 2, 2019. In September 2019, Rauf was selected to represent Northern in the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament, making his first-class debut for Northern on September 28, 2019.

Recognized for his talent, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) named Rauf as one of the six players to watch ahead of the 2019–20 National T20 Cup tournament in October 2019. In December 2019, Rauf’s career took an international turn when he joined the Melbourne Stars for the 2019-20 Big Bash League season in Australia.

Initially in Australia to play for the Glenorchy Magpies in Tasmanian Grade Cricket, he stepped in as a replacement for Dale Steyn, who was injured. Rauf made a significant impact for the Melbourne Stars, notably achieving a five-wicket haul in his second match against the Hobart Hurricanes and later claiming a hat-trick against the Sydney Thunder on January 8, 2020. His delivery during the hat-trick was recorded at an impressive speed of 151.3 km/h, making him the first Pakistani and first Melbourne Stars bowler to accomplish this feat in the BBL.

In a memorable performance on February 16, 2019, Rauf played a crucial role in Lahore Qalandars’ victory against Karachi Kings, taking 4 wickets for 23 runs. His consistent performances garnered attention, leading to his signing by Yorkshire County Cricket Club in December 2021 to play in the 2022 cricket season in England.
