Hobart Hurricanes vs Perth Scorchers Match Highlights
Hobart Hurricanes didn’t have the best start after winning the toss and losing Ben McDermott to Jason Behrendorff on the first ball. D’Arcy Short (35) and Matthew Wade (51) put up a stable partnership, providing some stability. The only other contribution came from Tim David (46*). Jhye Richardson (3/26) and Aaron Hardie (2/10) kept the other batsmen from reaching double figures. Even with mixed innings, the Hurricanes still managed to put up 172/8.
In their pursuit of 173, the Perth Scorchers were successful thanks to Faf du Plessis’ onslaught. As a result, Patrick Dooley took a wicket by dismissing Faf du Plessis. This helped stop the Scorchers from winning the match. Josh Inglis and Ashton Turner stitched together a 75-run stand to resurrect the innings and bring the game under their control. With just one run needed per ball, all they needed was to bat sensibly. However, in their quest to keep the runs flowing, Perth Scorchers lost too many wickets and fell behind. In the end, Perth Scorchers fell short of the target by 8 runs.
