The 3rd Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which was originally scheduled to take place in Dharamsala, has now been moved to Indore.
the BCCI has said in a statement on Monday that The 3rd Test of the Border-Gavaskar series has been shifted from HPCA Stadium, Dharamshala to Holkar Stadium, Indore.
The 3rd Test will be starting from March 1.
“The third Test of the Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, originally scheduled to take place at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala, from 1st to 5th March, has now been moved to Holkar Stadium, Indore,” BCCI said.
“Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully,” BCCI added.
India have played only 2 Tests at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.
One against New Zealand in 2016 where Virat Kohli scored a double century, Rahane scored 188 and Pujara scored a century. One in 2019 against Bangladesh where Mayank Agarwal scored a double century.
