Rohit Sharma

According to Kaif, “Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill share a similar playing style, as they both tend to favor playing on the back foot. He praised the way they hit the ball square of the wicket, using pull shots and minimal footwork, highlighting their proficiency at hitting to the fine leg and cover point positions as particularly impressive.”

Shubman Gill

Former Indian cricketer Mohammed Kaif praised the new opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill in a recent interview with Star Sports. He noted their similarities in playing style and praised their elegance and ability to stay on the pitch for a longer time. Kaif also emphasized the importance of current captain Rohit Sharma in setting the tone for the team’s success, particularly during the power play. He mentioned that Rohit is consciously taking on the role of being the aggressor during the power play, as he recognizes the significance of this strategy in order for India to win the World Cup.

With the World Cup on the horizon, the Indian cricket team will be looking to solidify their newly named opening pair and continue to build on their recent success. Fans will be eagerly watching to see how Sharma and Gill perform in the upcoming series against New Zealand.
