IND vs WI 2023 1st Test: India vs West Indies Day 2 Weather Report

On the day 1 of the 1st Test at Windsor Park, veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin showcased his brilliance by securing his 33rd five-wicket haul, leading to a batting collapse for West Indies. Ashwin achieved a notable feat by dismissing opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul, becoming the first Indian bowler to dismiss both father and son in Test cricket. He also claimed the wicket of West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite, who had chosen to bat first after winning the toss.

The Indian bowling attack continued to excel as seamer Shardul Thakur dismissed Raymon Reifer early on, while Mohammed Siraj took a stunning one-handed catch to give all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja his first wicket just before the Lunch break. Inspired by Ashwin’s performance, India successfully bowled out West Indies for 150 runs.

In their response, openers Rohit Sharma (30) and debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal (40) showed composure and guided India to a solid start, reaching 80/0 in 23 overs. As a result, India trails the West Indies by only 70 runs in the first innings. Here in this article, we have covered everything you need to know about the India vs West Indies 1st Test weather report for day 2.
