India’s U-19 women’s team under the leadership of Shafali Verma look to make the first-ever U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup historic for them as the Women in Blue eye the title in Potchefstroom. Both India and England have been dominant throughout the tournament and the final will determine which team emerges the champion in town.
Team India won the toss and decided to bowl first.
England’s batting order seemed to struggle against India’s fiery bowling unit.
Openers Grace Scrivens and Liberty Heap failed to give a good start to the team as both returned for just 4 and 0 runs respectively. After that, England’s batting order completely collapsed as they were restricted to just 68 runs in 17.2 overs. Ryana Macdonald-Gay remained the highest run scorer in the innings with 19 runs.
Titas Ranadeep Sadhu, Archana Shivram Devi, and Parshavi Gaurav Chopra took 2 wickets each. While Mannat Sanjeev Kashyap, Sonam Mukesh Yadav, and Captain Shafali Verma took 1 wicket each.
