England Women Cricketer Kate Cross Unhappy After This Major Decision Over Women’s IPL

According to media reports, CSK will not be bidding, and Sriram Cements, in all likelihood, may win the opportunity to represent Chennai in WIPL.

Women’s IPL, which will be starting in the month of March, is the third such women’s franchise tournament in the world after the Women’s Big Bash League (Australia) and Women’s Super Smash (New Zealand). Hence, it’s obvious that not only fans, but women cricketers too are excited about this tournament.

However, England’s women international cricketer Kate Cross has recently expressed her sadness on Twitter regarding this. BUT WHY?

According to media reports, CSK will not be bidding, and Sriram Cements, in all likelihood, may win the opportunity to represent Chennai in WIPL.

This didn’t go down well with the fans and especially with Kate Cross who had expressed her fondness for MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings several times on social media in the past.

Women’s IPL is a greater initiative to promote Women’s Cricket in India. The popularity of this league will ensure the growth of girls who aspire to become a cricketer in the future.
