The third ODI clash between India and Australia is scheduled for September 27 in Rajkot, with a kick-off time of 1:30 pm IST. India has already clinched the series with victories in the first two ODIs and aims for a clean sweep.

Rajkot, like Mohali and Indore, is expected to offer another batting-friendly wicket. In the second ODI, India posted a formidable total of 399/5, fueled by centuries from Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer, and an explosive finish courtesy of Suryakumar Yadav.

Australia faced a challenging task, chasing 317 in 3 overs due to the DLS method, and was bowled out for 217, resulting in a 99-run defeat. In the second ODI, key players like Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Glenn Maxwell were absent from the Australia XI. While Starc and Cummins are set to return for the third ODI, uncertainty surrounds Glenn Maxwell due to injury concerns.

India, on the other hand, will miss several players in the third ODI, including the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Shubman Gill, Shardul Thakur, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Varma, Prasidh Krishna, Mukesh Kumar, and Axar Patel will not be available. Reports indicate that Axar Patel is still recovering from his left quadriceps strain.
